- Go to Norway - land of my ancestors
- Be a princess - silly, I know. Never got to be a homecoming princess or Cranberry Festival princess. Not sure what opportunities I have for a tiara at my age.
- Learn how to Jingle Dance (powwow style)
- Go to Australia - another ancestral homeland
- Learn Navajo weaving
- Work somewhere that I can bring my dog to work with me
- Write a book (probably with help) to tell my story
- Be cherished by my children - I chose the word "cherish" very carefully
- Travel somewhere really exotic
- Be part of an amazingly successful fundraising effort - getting closer to this one
Participate in a monumental event- 2002 Winter Olympic Opening CeremonyApologize to my mom for being difficult- thankfully, before she died- Serve a mission
Go to the temple- Yes!Earn my bachelor's degree- 2008, better late than neverHave children- this may not sound difficult, but I lost an ovary in high school and I was worried- Become a teacher - I could count this as being done because of teaching children at church and training employees at work....hmm
- Learn another language - did it, but forgot too much of it
Become an artist- this came about in an unexpected way when I learned how to do design work on the computerFind someone who loves me even though I'm crazy- been married to him since 1988
Much like the Native American tradition of placing an intentional flaw in their beadwork, my purpose here seems to be avoiding perfection.
Bucket List
I like the idea of making a bucket list - a list of things you want to do, see, or accomplish before you "kick the bucket." This is new for me, so it's a work in progress. Some of my earlier goals have been accomplished and I have them here so I can remember.
